Car Buying Tips

Buying a "new" used car can be daunting, fortunately we've put together a few tips to help you navigate finding the perfect car, truck, van, SUV, motorcycle, or whatever kind of motor vehicle you're looking to purchase.

Finding the perfect car

Let's just say it: there is no perfect car. There are several important factors to consider. Our recommendation is first think about how much you can afford. Start buy sorting your choices by the down payment and monthly payment, keeping in mind that used cars sometimes need maintenance and the older cars with higher miles often cost more on an ongoing basis to maintain; sometimes, due to this, newer cars may actually be cheaper in the long-run. Further, how much with the fuel cost you? Is it reliable enough to do the drivin you need it for? Talk with one of our sales managers so they can help you work through this; afterall, that's one of the advantages of using a licensed car dealer to buy from - we have the experience to help you figure this out. In the meantime, check out our selection of used cars to see if something fits your needs and budget.

Inspecting the perfect car

We probably shouldn't call any car perfect. Even brand new cars right off the showroom floor have flaws. Your used car has wear and tear, all of the parts have miles on them, and some cars hold up better than others. We recommend every car you buy gets looked at by someone who knows what they're doing, preferably a trusted mechanic. Eventually parts break down, perhaps some parts already have or their close. Be sure to budget extra money to pay for things that break or need routine maintenance. We can't catch everyting, and remember neither can your mechanic. We will do the best we can, however, to give you all the time you need reasonably to have the vehicle looked over and we'll be transparent about what we know about our vehicles. You deserve as much information as possible to make such a large purchase.

Paying for your "new" used car

Can you afford to pay cash outright? For most of us, you'll need to secure financing. If you have excellent credit and great income, that's wonderful, most of us don't though.
